2022 marked the first time since 1950 that no US born Black players played in the major league baseball world series. The History of Negro Leagues Baseball and the Impact on the Black Community will examine baseball’s reaction to segregation, its response to integration, the demise of one of the strongest financial enterprises, and the loss of Black participation in the sport. The course will also examine the impact of these actions on the black community.
